All guns are at risk for rust. It does not matter from which material your gun is made – steel, aluminum, titanium. By nature, it will have the tendency to rust.
Moisture Forms in Any Climate
The threat of rust is not just in humid climates or wet conditions; condensation happens in virtually any climate when you take your firearm from hot temperatures into a cooler place (indoor air conditioning, gun safe, etc.).
While a dehumidifier in a gun safe might draw some of the dampness from the ambient air, it will not necessarily pull the moisture that is already inside your firearms or ammo.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Moisture Wicking Material
DRYOUT™ is a material “sandwich” of encapsulated desiccant packets in moisture-wicking nylon.
The moisture-wicking process ranges between 4 – 24 hours.

Like a Portable Dehumidifier
DRYOUT™ works on the same principle as commercial dehumidifiers but without needing electricity. In simpler terms, it's like a dampness vacuum.
Releasing the moisture is easy. Just place the case in the sun or dry with a hair dryer on low heat settings.
Indefinite Use
Unlike cheap disposable desiccants that need daily replacement, DRYOUT™ is designed for repeated use and the desiccant inside does not need to be replaced.
DRYOUT™ can be used indefinitely.
